my first solo studio recording, from xmastime 2004, i just burned CDs and sold them at crooked still shows and mailed them to fans. i was inspired to make this after my brother played me a recording of reggae singer Warrior King, who sang technically quite out of tune but it still sounded amazing. i was like hey maybe i could sing and feel okay about it if i just put down a good vibe like that guy...

i have a good childhood homey named sandy who was running the studio at stanford so we went in there and did all this in a couple hours, both adding beatboxing to freshen up the vibes. it was super easy all fun no stress.

after a few copies got around, some of my friends learned every word on there, which made me feel like i was doing something right or at least groovy. these songs would go on to be rendered by later bands as you will notice if you check out my other releases on bandcamp.
